Speaking & Thought Leadership
A trained economist and seasoned fundraising strategist, Alicia DeLia brings more than two decades of experience working across Latin America, the United States, and Africa at the intersection of philanthropy, impact investing, and social enterprise. Through keynote talks, panel discussions, living room salons, and curated dialogues, she speaks about the future of impact capital and how leaders across sectors can build more inclusive and effective ecosystems for social innovation. Drawing on her experience mobilizing over $100 million in philanthropic and investment capital for social enterprises and movements worldwide, Alicia explores how capital flows can be redesigned to better support community-rooted solutions & frontline enterprises in emerging economies—particularly those led by Indigenous, Afro-descendant, women, and working-class leaders who are often closest to the challenges and who often lead the innovations shaping the future. Alicia also emphasizes and provides training on the importance of revenue diversification and long term financial sustainability and self determination for social impact enterprises.
Alicia regularly speaks at global conferences, private convenings, universities, and funder gatherings. Her talks combine strategic insight, storytelling, and practical examples from the field to inspire audiences to rethink how capital can better serve communities and ecosystems.
